Commitment Ceremonies

A commitment ceremony is ideal for couples of any age or gender who do not wish to enter into a legal marriage or civil partnership, nor have a wedding ceremony, but wish to honour their lifelong commitment to each other and declare their love.

Whether it's a wedding or a commitment ceremony, I will still create and deliver a bespoke, personalised ceremony that is just as unique as you are, whomever you are and whomever you love.

The core of a commitment ceremony is usually the declaration of love for one another and the intention to spend the rest of your lives together. Some couples wish to include traditions from wedding ceremonies, but this is completely up to you. I will work with you to weave your story into the ceremony you want to have.

As with all my ceremonies, it could be formal or fun, traditional or quirky, secular or spiritual, or a complete combination of everything. Some people choose to have guests, for others the perfect ceremony is intimate and just the two of you. Whatever your choices, I will work with you to make your dream ceremony a reality.

What I offer:

• Initial planning meeting (in person or online)

• Personal Whatsapp group to keep in touch and in the loop

• Couple questionnaires to share memories and help me get to know your love story

• Research, writing and crafting of the full ceremony script, including personalised wording for all traditional elements you may wish to include (for example, welcome, love story, vows and promises, ring exchange, unity rituals and closing words) or anything else you would like me to create for you

• Ideas, support and sourcing of music, readings and poems

• Vow writing based on your ideas, or support writing your own (if you wish to make vows)

• Unity rituals of choice to incorporate in the ceremony, for example hand-fasting, sand blending, ring warming, tea ceremony, candle ceremony or others

• Officiating the ceremony on the day

• A copy of your ceremony to keep afterwards

• A certificate of commitment to mark your special day

• My full commitment to your day - I only conduct one ceremony a day to ensure you are my focus and that you can have the ceremony length that is right for you

Full package fees from £595. Smaller packages from £500.

Additional costs may be payable for ceremonies over 40 miles from Southport, UK, or for additional items and services.

A 20% deposit is required to secure your date.
